About
Stephen Samuels has been doing some kind of artwork from a very early age until now, well into his 80’s. Painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography, woodwork and digital arts. While he did attend art school at both San Francisco City College and San Francisco State University, much of his later education comes from many years of study of Aikido with Robert Nadeau. One might wonder how Aikido, normally considered a Martial Art, has anything to do with the other visual arts. Simply put, since it affects one’s core being, it changes everything and anything we do.
While most of the work shown here is recent, some of it goes back into the 1960’s. Through the modern magic of digital reproduction, traditional work that once existed only as a single painting can now be offered as a high-quality, archival, digital print, equal to or exceeding the original quality.
More work will be added to these galleries from time to time so please come back and look around anew.
